3 in1 game table
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This was a buy for my boys as a Christmas present from their grandmother. We got it and place it together on Christmas Eve. It took about 3 hours. Once it was together it looked fantastic. We learned that we had missing numbers in the poolballs. In order to get the right pool balls they had to send us a whole new table. We then took the balls out and sent the new box back to the company. It was told to us that this was the only way the warranty worked. This was very frustrating. I hope that someday they can come up with a better way to make a rectification. It is a fun table for the whole family.
Not particularly high quality, but excellent for 11-year-ancient kids
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
After much research, we settled on this game table as a Christmas present for our 11-year-ancient son, in part so we’d have something we could play with him, and in part so he’d have something to do with visiting friends other than play video games. It has been highly thriving for those two purposes.
It came by truck and weighs about 90 pounds – the fact that we had free Amazon Prime shipping reduced the overall price significantly; Sears would have charged an extra $125 for the same table for truck shipping.
Assembly wasn’t too hard, but it took me and my son 4 hours of honestly careful work. A power screwdriver or cordless drill were essential, and having a second person to help hold things in place is helpful at times. Other tables sounded as though they were much harder to place together. Only one instruction (they’re all graphical) was ambiguous – the pool table top needs to be flush with the top of its side of the frame, which isn’t made clear by the illustration or any pre-drilled holes (such as exist for all else).
Once place together, all the parts work as advertised, and we’ve loved all the games. The pools balls and cues are smaller than normal, but the basic gameplay is the same. The air hockey game seems to work well, and isn’t too loud, but the pucks “score” when they stick in the goal – they don’t go into a goal like the foosball game. Speaking of which, the foosball game is better than many others in some ways, since the other player’s rods don’t extend out from the table at all (they have internal slides), so you can’t be poked by the other player casually.
Turning the table isn’t hard, and doesn’t require two adults, as it implies. You unscrew the holder on one side, then go to the other and unscrew the other side. Then you rotate the table to the desired position and screw the holder back in on one side and then the other. It’s too hard for a young kid to do, and getting the holder bolts threaded into the receptacles is a bit tough. It’s hard enough that you won’t just play one game, rotate it, play the next, rotate it, and so on. Instead, you rotate it, play on that side for as long as you can, and then rotate it again once you want to switch to playing another game for a while.
The downside of the table is what you’d expect – the quality of construction. The pool table surface is quite flexible, so no matter how carefully you screw it in, it won’t be completely level, and balls rolling slowly will curve. The same is right, though less unruly, with the foosball surface. The pockets in the pool top are also quite small (to match the small balls), making it hard for adult hands to remove the balls (you have to reach in to remove them; there’s no ball return). And make sure not to leave a foosball in the goal when turning the table, or it will fall inside and be hard to remove (the only slight access is through the pool table pockets). Be careful with the air hockey plug, since it could get lost inside – there’s a velcro holder to prevent that (I’d recommend tying something on to it to prevent this even still – I can’t imagine how you’d remove it if it slipped in.)
So the only major disappointment is that the table isn’t a full-sized slate pool table with qualified level air hockey and ping pong tops – but we didn’t get such a thing because we don’t have a room large enough. (You need a LOT of space for a real pool table.) But the goal was to get something that we and our son would delight in, and that it does well. If it breaks in a few years, well, it wasn’t that expensive.
packaging excellent, game table terrible!!!
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
No complaints on the packaging and shipping. But the game table itself is not the best! The poles from the foosball table hit the metal brace bar going across the bottom of the frame, preventing you from turning the table to one of the other two games. The soccer ball flies out of the gap in the goal catcher and hits the floor when you hit the ball hard for a quick score. The pool table nets in the pockets are not very secure and the balls will drop into the center of the three tables being a pain to try and get it out! The air hockey goal plastics don’t have a huge enough clearance preventing the puck to fully go in to make the goal. The design of this game table is extremely weak!!!! I can’t complain about the seller of it, due to the packaging and shipping was done well!!! The company that makes this table needs to go back to the drawing board!!!! I wouldn’t recommend this to my worse enemy!!!!!! I gave this 1 star, only because the seller shipped it promptly and securely.
Game Table Review
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
For the price this is a very nice game table. It did take 4 hours to place together. But for something this large, that should be expected. Some of the complaints we saw in reviews can be overcome. When installing the pool table side, make sure you have a straight edge and level as this will keep the table level and flat. The clips that hold the soccer rods in place will break but using rubberbands is an simple replacement. The soccer ball falling out can be fixed by putting in adhesive felt into the wells. Our package was delivered without any hurt. Our 4 year ancient grandson likes it and we found inventive ways for our 2 year ancient granddaughter to delight in it as well. It met/exceeded our expectations.
